There are ways to customize it so it only works on a specific tab of your browser but during my tests i couldn't make it happen. you can remove that to use it on the browser version but then it will work on every application you have open at that moment. Through trial-and-error, I've found that to send the normal function key (to a Windows app running under Fusion), I have to press Command-(function key).
